Some volunteers show up with tools and a plan, others show up with a willingness to help the people with tools, or to do the same kind of maintenance a homeowner might do: mowing, sweeping, washing. Cooks and photographers make good volunteers, too. And there's plenty of room for people who've mastered a trade, but would like to casually try another.

Virtual volunteers who aren't really keen to climb the ladder up to the boathouse, or who live far from the station can be of great help on the computer.

Email if you're interested in joining the crew.

Generator:
Our largest generator is barely able to run a table saw. Portable generators are moved between the buildings for specific jobs, but eventually the station needs a large propane generator to augment solar and, possibly, wind power.

Rainwater harvest system
Water and septic tanks (not concrete)
Well pump and pressure tanks

And if you're visiting the station, you might drop some money in the donation tube. It's fun for volunteers to open it up and find actual bills inside.
